The 2022 Ngauruhoe Trophy Race was run on Saturday 17 September.
The race was held at the top of “The Gut” Race Course.
The event was open to Ski Clubs of Mt Ruapehu.
We accepted Pre-Registration for this event. All details are contained in the links below. On the day registration was at the Lorenz' Bar & Cafe (LBC) and we accepted up to five teams per club depending on demand.
The Custodians Race was back by popular demand. Clubs could pre-register their custodian or enter them on the day using the same form as for teams. Anything goes in this race...the custodian just needs to get through the start and finish gates on skis or board – costumes are encouraged!

Entry Fee
The Entry fee is $140.00 per team of 5, $120 per team of 4 or $40 for an individual
Summary Rules

Maximum 5 racers per team, 4 fastest times count including a minimum of 1 female, and who are all financial members of that club.
Skiers or snowboarders can only race for one team.

Birth dates of Junior and Masters must be provided at Registration for valid entry.

Team Bib numbers will be drawn at Registration in front of team for start order.

Teams must confirm member start order from Bib numbers.

Racing will be in bib number order (any changes at the discretion of the NSC Club Captain only).

More than one team can be entered from each club per category.
Registration
All Teams must complete the Declaration Entry Form and provide full payment at the Registration in the Lorenz's Bar & Cafe (LBC) from 9.00am on race day or another venue as marked on the ‘blackboards’ at the bottom of each lift before 10am on race day. or pre-register to the Club Captain prior to race day.

Race Start
10.30am at the top of the Te Heu Heu Valley in Race Bib order. Course Inspection from 9.45am to 10.15am from side of course (dependent on conditions). No on-course inspection permitted.
Prize Giving
7pm to late.
Please note: If your racers are under 18yrs, they must be accompanied by someone over 20yrs who is responsible for them for the entire evening. Ngauruhoe Ski Club promotes responsible alcohol consumption and will provide food and non-alcoholic beverages. Ngauruhoe Ski Club will not serve alcohol to under 18 yr olds, those under 25 are recommended to bring ID. Drinks will be limited to 5 per person, however those attending are welcome to bring their own
Custodians Race Details
The Custodians race is on again. Clubs can pre-register their custodian or enter them on the day. Registration is free. Anything goes in this race (you still need to go round all the gates of course) – costumes are encouraged! . Declaration and entry form Here
